Arts Education, Critique and SocietyThis research project proposes the construction of an archive of art education practices, between the axes of the experimental and the historical. Its constitution is based on a decolonial positioning that discusses the hegemonies of the archive in its imperial constitutions: who and what may be accessed in the archive; who and what enters the archive; who and what stays at the doorstep of the archive?
The art_ed archive (art_ed) intends to constitute itself by means of a corpus coming from different fields of art education practices. This inscription is performed as a critical reactivation of propositions, materialities, looking for ways to redo and undo as training to unlearn.
How to practice the archives?
This is the central question upon which this construction with and against the archive sustaines itself. To do so, it is necessary that the inscriptions of artistic education practices are reactivated, through a body in construction of critical and dynamic non-violent feedback.
The project is materialized in different fronts:
_Workouts in collaborative research groups for the identification and reactivation of corpus of materialities, propositions and figures.
_Local and international workshops and seminars that integrate performative skills of the crossing between artistic education practices in the field of performing and visual arts; exploring different formats to be taken into account within territorial scope and with different educational communities.
_Editions of materials and propositions of anti-discriminatory educational intervention in their critical revision.
_Critical re-edition of immaterial propositions and educational materials of the portuguese 20th century.
_Construction of a digital platform, accessible and democratic, considering the international and national markers of accessibility.
art_ed constitutes itself as a tool for the dissemination of the immaterial, the relational, the presential and the political in art education practices.
