FBAUP/i2ADS has a recognized action and research work in arts education, visual arts teacher training and advanced studies in arts education. The partnership between the Municipality of Felgueiras and FBAUP/i2ADS aims to implement a Pilot Project in Arts Education that includes the planning, organization, promotion and evaluation of projects to be implemented from May 2019 to August 31, 2021, during 3 academic years, in a phased manner, with schools from the 5 school groups of the Municipality of Felgueiras, in terms of pre-school education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education in the municipal public network, in the curricular area of artistic expressions. It contemplates, also, the research carried out in the field and the design of training seminars for the educators and teachers involved in schools where the projects will be implemented, and other teachers and educators of the Felgueiras municipality. The Pilot Project to be implemented aims to elaborate a municipal plan for the development of arts education at the level of pre-school education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education in the municipality of Felgueiras, aiming at an integral training of children and continuous training of teachers and educators, integrated in the scope of the Integrated and Innovative Plan for Combating School Failure. The Pilot Project aims to become the incubator of a creative lab, in an approach to the economic and social reality of the municipality of Felgueiras, from pre-school education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education.
