, graduated in Art History (1992), Master in Art History (1998) from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Doctor in Art Education (2016) from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Professor at the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts – Polytechnic Institut of Porto, since 1993 (part-time), and Guest Assistant Professor at FBAUP since 2021 (also part-time). Head of the education department of Douro Museum, territory museum, since 2006 (part-time), developing projects that involve schools, groups of educators, philarmonic bands and collectives, at the interface between artistic education and performing arts within the scope of the education program iamlandscape. In this program highlights the projets Bios – Frontier, Biographies, Secrets and Central Caffé projects. Author of several publications in the field of education and artistic and cultural mediation. He designed the education program and was coordinator of the educational service of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art (from 1999 to 2002). He is currently a researcher at i2ADS – Research Institute of Art, Design and Society (since 2011), integrating the team LABEA – Laboratory for Research in Artistic Education (since 2017), being one of the organizers of the three editions of IMMER – International Meeting on Museum Education and Research (2018, 2019, 2021) and editor of the publication associated with the meeting.
