Paulo Nogueira teaches and researches in the field of Arts Education, both in the context of training visual arts teachers and supervising doctoral theses and research projects in PhD programs. At Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP) he teaches Psychology of Arts Education; Arts Education and Visual Culture; and Writing Workshop, in a close connection to the Master’s degree in Visual Arts Teaching in subjects related to research and visual arts teaching practice. He also teaches in the PhD in Arts Education at Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), and he is a member of its scientific committee. In both contexts, he leads and evaluates different proceedings regarding arts education, engaging in discussions and scientific events. He is a member of the Centre for Research and Educational Intervention (CIIE/FPCEUP) and of the Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS/FPBAUP) at the University of Porto, Portugal.
