Abstract
It has been long recognized that printmaking is an expanding field which involves traditional and digital techniques. In the last few decades, along with development of electronics hence digital forms of artistic creation, the traditional practices of obtaining image, including photographic and non-photographic processes which have been used since the 19th century, have been neglected. Notably, due to an extensive use of new media as a tool of picture production, they are at risk of being forgotten. This has required a strong archaeological approach: the multiple experiments undertook to assess if it is possible, not only to reconstruct feasible alternatives to traditional techniques using 19th century incursions barely touched by artists, but also to combine new and emerging technologies involving computers. By doing so, hypothetically, the potential to develop new and intriguing forms within printmaking can occur and importantly, make the essential content of traditional printmaking thriving and providing friendly-environment solutions. The practical component above described is to be inserted in a wider range of theoretical and artistical variety built on the topic of Displacement which intended to be explored in light of the personal narratives that it impacts in a wider sense psychologically. The concepts of changeability, fluidity, and emotions by targeting empathy which often rocks one’s position towards the participant form the sub-themes of reflective practice. The combination of technological research and contemporary print-based creation can flourish in a unique artistic practice where to move or displace oneself in between fields.
