Thesis title
Scenography in Recombination: Study on the Thresholds between Materiality and Fiction

Abstract
With the displacement in the center of interest from “mimesis” to “real” in representation, which took place throughout the 20th century, the performing arts began to experience different tensions between materiality and fiction (Fischer-Lichte, 2013). This practice as research project proposes to investigate the thresholds between materiality and fiction in the space of the contemporary art and scenographic practices based on this paradigm shift in representation. Three ways of interaction observed between materiality and fiction will serve as a conceptual axis for the theoretical and project work. They are the fragmentation of the scenography, the material interference, and the appropriation. The project dimension takes place through the critical analysis of scenographic projects and by the development of new performative projects. In these performative studies, I seek different perspectives of scenic and dramaturgical creation linked to space.
