1st European Masterclass TALM, Tours-France

As the first impact activity of the YES – Young European Sculpture project (2022-1-FR01-KA220-HED-000087792), funded by Erasmus+, the 1st Masterclass took place between 9 and 13 May 2023 in Tours with the participation of FBAUP students together with students from TALM (France), AAL (Latvia) and ABAC (Italy).

Starting from reflections and concepts by Gaston Bachelard, Vinciane Despret and Bruno Latour, the contemporary sculpture was thought around the four elements (air, water, fire, and earth) and the Loire River as an entity susceptible to legal personality. The different workshops were guided by Vincent Voillat, Cécile Hartmann, Thierry Mouillé, and Cyril Zarcone and accompanied, in the Portuguese team, by Norberto Jorge (FBAUP/i2ADS) and Margarida Dias (i2ADS).
