(b. 1990) is an Artist, Professor, and Researcher who divides her time between Portugal, France, and Italy. In her artistic practice, she associates sculpture, installation, and literature with a timeless and fleeting sculptural image. Since 2012, she has had solo and group exhibitions in Portugal, France, and Italy and participated in numerous international conferences as a Speaker and Proofreader. Filipa Cruz has spent the last eight years working in the fields of Artistic Practice and Artistic Research, Sculpture, Poetry, Culture and European Higher Education. Filipa Cruz is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP, Porto), Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty at Paris College of Art (PCA, Paris) and an Integrated Researcher at the Research Institute of Art, Design and Society (i2ADS, Porto). Since 2018, she has supervised over a dozen academic theses ranging from MFA to PhD. She holds a Doctorate in Artistic Practice with a specialization in Sculpture (FBAUP); a Masters in Fine Arts Approved with Distinction (École Nationale Supérieure de Beaux-Arts de Paris ENSBA); a Post-graduation in Aesthetics (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne); a Higher Degree in Fine Arts-Sculpture (FBAUP); and a Higher Degree in Fine Arts-Multimedia (ENSBA). Won several grants, including the Direção-Geral das Artes (DGARTES) Grant – Artistic creation, the Guest Scientist Grant – Arts (UMA University of Madeira / FCT), the Creation’s Grant (Câmara Municipal do Funchal); the Literary and Artistic Creation’s Grant (Azorean Government), the Fine Arts-Sculpture Artistic Creation’s Grant (Azorean Government), the Multimedia and Audiovisual Artistic Creation’s. Her axes of intervention are: Arts; Sculpture; Artistic Creation; Artistic Research; Poetry; Literary creation; Contemporary art; Intersection of Fine Arts and Literature; Aesthetics, Art and Culture; New Media / Art and Technology.
