Retrieval places

I work in-between borders,  looking for bridges and pathways to challenge education in formal and informal settings expecting commitment from  institutions and individuals.  And in this quest I may find arts and education as an alternative way to build   new sites for social justice  and cultural empowerment  as transcultural and interdisciplinary learning sites . In this article I will describe some research  experiences  within communities of practice based on concepts of  A/r/tography  and activism  that are leading the research group C3,  with whom I had been discussing roles of arts education in the society. I start from  memories of past encounters, dialogues and ideological experiences between schools; museums; and communities to present what could be places for cultural empowerment , through conversation and learning  in  the  interstitial places of an area defined by its margins.
