Surf is a sport that has been growing. There are already some applications that help surfers, however, we can still observe that there are many beginners and intermediate surfers who need support to develop a consistent peer-supported practice to continue their evolution.

The main objective of the study is to identify the key features for the main target of the application, such as, design, prototype and evaluate ways of applying those features, to achieve a solution.

In this descriptive study a qualitative approach was adopted through the usability evaluation of the application prototype. The methodology used was the type 1 investigation of involvement and the instruments used are: initial interviews and questionnaires,, persona, usage scenarios, prototype, preparation and moderation of the test, questionnaire of background, test, final interview and questionnaire. The participants are surfers.

The results show that an application of this kind encourages a major practice of the sport; that the most wanted features in this applications are Surf report ( reports of the people on the spots ) and creation of sessions ( private and public ) and that the integration of the features in the application meets the users expectations.
